By Ankita Garg: Reliance Jio has announced a Rs 61 data plan to let people experience 5G services. The telecom company has added a new “5G upgrade” section in its My Jio app, which includes the already existing Rs 61 data voucher plan. The company is saying that people who don’t have a higher-priced prepaid plan can buy this pack to access 5G on their phones. Here is everything you need to know. The Reliance Jio customers who are on Rs 239 prepaid plan or above don’t need to buy an additional pack. People who had a lower-priced plan couldn’t experience 5G, so a new prepaid plan is now available for them. Reliance Jio has added a Rs 61 prepaid pack that lets you access the latest network in 5G-compatible Indian cities. It even includes 6GB of data. The Rs 61 plan will remain active until your existing prepaid plan expires. This 5G data plan will work on those who have recharged with Rs 119, Rs 149, Rs 179, Rs 199 or Rs 209 prepaid plan. But, do keep in mind that if you haven’t received Jio 5G Welcome Offer, then you won’t be able to experience 5G even after buying this 5G data plan. There are four things that you need to have in order to access 5G services. Your smartphone should be 5G compatible and it should have received 5G support update from the manufacturer.
