The actress was roped in to play Charulata, who rises from the dead. However, there were some last-minute changes, and she was made to play a chudail. She shot her last episode yesterday. She says, “We can never predict the longevity of a track, especially when it’s a cameo appearance. The narration was different from what I eventually played. While I was told that I would be playing Charulata, who rises from the dead, on the set, I was told that I would be portraying a chudail. I am a professional actor and couldn’t have walked out from the set saying ki kya bola tha aur kya karva rahe ho. So, I gave my best and finished the track. TV shows work on ratings, and stories change every Thursday. So, I wasn’t expecting much from this, but if they had delivered what was promised to me toh aur achha ho jaata.” While Kajal went with the flow, it was when she was asked to sport grey hair, she expressed her reservations about it.
