Who is the author of Venkateswara Suprabhatam?

The Venkateswara Suprabhatam, or Venkatesa Suprabhatam, was composed by Sri Prathivadhi Bhayamkaram Annan., a disciple of Sri Manavala Mamuni. Suprabhatam is the first and foremost ritual performed in the morning at Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple. And the hymns written by Prativadi Bhayankara Annan are sung by priests at this time. The Venkateswara Suprabhatam chanted at Tirupati temple consists of 70 Sanskrit shlokas. It is divided into four parts – Suprabhatam, Stotram, Prapatti and Mangalasasanam. Suprabhatham is the quintessence of all knowledge in the Upanishads and a source of joy and bliss to all. It means ‘Auspicious Dawn’ in English. It is the first and foremost hymn recited in the wee-hours of the day to wake up Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala and in many temples in India and around the world. • Suprabhatam, or Venkatesa Suprabhatam – sung to awaken the Lord

There are eleven beautiful slOkams that are housed in Sri VenaktEsa sthOthram. They are a delight to recite and reflect upon . The endearing affection with which this bhakthan eulogizes the Lord and describes his aakinchanathvam have few parallels . The Taalam patterns (chantham) woven into slOkams 1-5 and 8 are remarkable. The MahA VisvAsam in the Lord of seven hills and the personal prayer for His grace captured in SlOkam 9-11 are one of the most moving appeals in the annals of SthOthrams. The anyOnyam of the divya dampathis is celebrated here .
