Ken Block snowmobile accident: Important details emerge after death of one of the world's most

Ken Block accident: Prolific rally car driver died in a snowmobile accident which took places earlier this week on Monday. The news was made public through the official Instagram handle of Hoonigan, a company co-founded by Block. Now tributes have flowed for rally driver and acclaimed stuntman from motorsport world. Block has posted about the upcoming video of his 16-year-old daughter Lia on his Instagram. He wrote: "The 4th and final episode of my 16-year-old daughter Lia buying, tearing down, rebuilding and now driving her ‘85 Audi Ur Quattro will be live at 8am PST tomorrow on my YouTube channel. Will her newly-refinished vintage Audi finally do a donut?? Or will this old car break in the attempt? Tune in to find out!"

The motorsport athlete became an internet sensation through his series of high-production-value Gymkhana stunt-driving videos. "It's with our deepest regrets that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident today," the racing team said in a statement on Instagram. "Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And, most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed." The accident occurred in Utah's Wasatch County and the Sheriff's Office said that Block was riding on a steep slope when the snowmobile up-ended and landed on top of him.

Hoonigan Industries also confirmed his death in a statement shared on social media: "It's with deepest regrets that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident today. Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed." Ken co-founded the skateboard and snowboard brand DC Shoes in June 1994 alongside Damon Way and Clayton Blehm. After selling the company in 2004, Ken shifted his focus and moved into the world of rally. He quickly made a name for himself in the industry, eventually launching the Hoonigan brand and producing the beloved Gymkhana video series on YouTube. Action sports icon Travis Pastrana also spoke with ESPN, commenting that 2022 was Ken's year. "Ken was so happy. At the races, he was happy to be racing with [his wife] Lucy and to have his daughter racing and to have his kids at most of the races," Travis added. "Few people get to the point in their lives where everything comes together, and to have it all taken away like this is devastating."
