Ketoconazole Shampoo Description Ketoconazole Shampoo, 2% For topical application only. Rx only Ketoconazole Shampoo, 2%, is a red-orange liquid for topical application, containing the broad spectrum synthetic antifungal agent ketoconazole in a concentration of 2% in an aqueous suspension. It also contains: sodium laureth sulfate, disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, cocamide diethanolamide, hydrochloric acid, PEG-120 methyl glucose dioleate, imidurea, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, fragrance, FD&C red No. 40, and purified water. These conditions can be itchy and are caused by a fungus called Malassezia. Tinea versicolor is characterised by white to brown patches on the body that sometimes appear after exposure to the sun. Before using KETOMAC 2% SHAMPOO, inform your doctor if you have any liver problems or if you are using any steroids. KETOMAC 2% SHAMPOO can be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women, but consult your doctor for advice. KETOMAC 2% SHAMPOO should not be used in infants or children. The most common side effects of using KETOMAC 2% SHAMPOO are itching, stinging, and dryness at the site of application. Call your doctor if any of the symptoms get worse.
