The condition of jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is not stable as his kidney function has further dipped to a critical level. Hospital sources said the kidney function has dipped from earlier 50 per cent to 37 per cent, sending alarm bells ringing in the RJD camp. Lalu Prasad’s blood sugar and blood pressure levels are also fluctuating, a senior doctor said on Saturday. Lalu is diabetic and is dealing with many ailments. Earlier, the RJD leader had undergone a surgery. "His kidneys are not functioning properly. The GFR (glomerular filtration rate) has dropped. His blood sugar and blood pressure are also fluctuating. We can say he is not stable," Dr Umesh Prasad, one of the attending doctors, told PTI. "His diet has also decreased compared to earlier. We are giving him medicines now," he said. The RJD leader's son Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday came to Ranchi to meet his father and examine his health.
