KEDARNATH YATRA 2022 – Feelyourtrip

To Understand Route Plan Read Below Kedarnath is situated on high altitude of Uttarakhand so you can’t reach directly by bus, train and flight (except helicopter). So you need to travel so much to reach kedarnath and the base point is Haridwar or Rishikesh and route is like this- Haridwar > Rishikesh > Devprayag > Srinagar > Rudraprayag > Ukhimath > Guptkashi > Sonprayag > Gaurikund > Kedarnath All these places can be your halting point and There is a road from Haridwar to Gaurikund (230 Km) and after that you have to trek one side for 16 Km and return side for 16 Km (32 Km Trek) You can reach Haridwar or Rishikesh by Train or by bus. Haridwar has bigger railway station and bus stand and more facilities than Rishikesh so my suggestion is to start your journey from Haridwar. Jolly Grant International Airport is the nearest airport situated in Dehradun which is only 41 Km away from Haridwar. If you want to do comfortable journey then follow this route plan- Start your journey from Haridwar at morning 6-8 AM and reach Rudraprayag or Srinagar. Rudraprayag is 162 Km away from Haridwar while Srinagar is 132 Km away from Haridwar. Then stay in Rudraprayag or Srinagar. Hotel Price is around Rs. 600-3000 but price may vary and depends on season. If you want to book in cheap price then go to GMVN hotels but you need to do advance booking. Kedarnath Yatra 2022 Travel Updates, Guide, Tips, Booking

Kedarnath Dham, located near the Mandakini River’s source and at a height of 3,584 metres, honours Lord Shiva’s magnificence. The temple of Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotir Lingams and the most important of the Panch Kedars. It is also one of the most important temples on Uttarakhand’s famous Chota Char Dham Yatra, adding to the glory of the region. The motorable route to Kedarnath temple goes to Gauri Kund and is accessible from major Uttarakhand attractions. After that, it’s a 14-kilometer journey to the Kedarnath temple. Ponies and palanquins (doli) are readily accessible, and helicopter services are also available during the yatra’s peak season. The spiritual environment created by the region’s undisturbed, calm, and breathtaking scenery more than compensates for the difficult travel to Shiva’s enormous shrine. Behind the temple, the beautiful Kedarnath peak (6,940 metres) and other peaks offer a perfect background for the supreme deity’s holy land. The conical-shaped Shiva lingam of the Kedarnath temple is unlike any other Shiva shrine in the world. History of Kedarnath Dham Burdened by the guilt of murdering their blood relations, the Pandavas begged Lord Shiva’s forgiveness. Shiva, not wanting to let them off the hook so easy, disguised himself as a bull and roamed the Garhwal Himalayas. Shiva dove under the ground after being detected by the Pandavas. Bhim tried to catch him, but all he got was the hump. Other sections of Shiva’s body (in the form of a bull) appea...
