Lecope 5 tablet is an anti-allergic medicine mainly containing levocetirizine as its active ingredient. It is used to get relief from various allergic conditions characterized by a runny or blocked n ose, watery eyes, fever, rash, sinus, common cold. This desired effect is achieved by inhibiting the release of the chemical substance histamine, known to cause allergic conditions. Lecope 5 tablets should be consumed at a prescribed dose and duration by your doctor. Children below 6 years of age should not be given this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have any known medical condition and are on any treatment for the same.

Lecope Syrup, Tablet Lecope Dihydrochloride is a preparation of Lecope Dihydrochloride. Lecope is the active (levo) isomer of Cetirizine. It is a new highly effective and well-tolerated non-sedating antihistamine with potent antiallergic properties. It has a two-fold higher affinity for H1-receptors than Cetirizine. Lecope has a rapid and long-lasting action, allowing once-a-day administration. Lecope is a second generation histamine H1 antagonist used to treat various allergic symptoms. It has a long duration of action as it is generally taken once daily, and a wide therapeutic window as animal studies show the maximal nonlethal dose is over 100x a normal dose. Patients are cautioned to avoid tasks that require complete alertness, avoid alertness, and use caution in patients with factors predisposing urinary retention. Uses Lecope Dihydrochloride is used for the treatment of symptoms associated with allergic conditions such as seasonal allergic rhinitis, perennial allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. For Adults, and children 12 years of age, and older, 5 mg (1 tablet or 2 teaspoons (10 mL)) once daily in the evening is given. Lecope M Syrup is commonly prescribed in children to treat symptoms of allergy such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes. It may also help in the treatment of asthma and skin allergies. Give this medicine to your child at a fixed time before or after food in the prescribed dose, time, and way. For asthma, prefer giving Lecope M Syrup in the evening or 2 hours before physical activity. For allergy, it is best to give it either in the morning or in the evening, depending upon the time of onset of symptoms. In case your child has both, prefer giving it in the evening. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, give the same dose again, but skip it if it’s already time for the next dose. Your child may start to feel better after a few regular doses. However, you must still complete the prescribed dose to ensure maximum benefit. Moreover, stopping the medicine abruptly may worsen your child’s condition. This medicine may cause some minor and temporary side effects like vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, rash, and headache.
