अपर पोलिस अधीक्षक पीयूष जगताप यांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार बाभूळगाव येथील एका समाज संघटनेच्या कार्यकर्त्यांनी कळंब ते बाभूळगाव रोडवरील धनोडा शिवारात वर्धा पासिंगचे चारचाकी वाहन रात्री ११ वाजेच्या सुमारास पकडले. या वाहनातून जनावरांची तस्करी केली जात असल्याचे उघड झाले. यानंतर एका समुदायाच्या कार्यकर्त्यांनी ते वाहन पोलिस ठाण्यात आणले. तेथे पोलिसांनी कारवाईचा सोपस्कर पूर्ण केला. त्यानंतर वाहनातील जनावरे रासा रोडवरील गोरक्षण येथे पोलिस बंदोबस्तात नेण्यात आले. वाहनातील जनावरे खाली केल्यानंतर तेथे जवळपास १०० लोकांचा एका समाजाचा समुदाय दाखल झाला. त्यांनी जनावरांची तस्करी उघड करणाऱ्यांना बेदम मारहाण सुरू केली. काही क्षणात तस्करी करणाऱ्या वाहनाला आग लावण्यात आली. त्यामुळे सर्वत्र तणावाचे वातावरण निर्माण झाले होते. हल्लेखोरांवर कारवाई करावी यासाठी दुसऱ्या समुदायाचे कार्यकर्ते व परिसरातील नागरिकांनी पोलिस ठाण्यात मोठी गर्दी केली. त्यांनी हल्लेखोरांवर कठोर कारवाईची मागणी केली. यासाठी मध्यरात्रीच्या सुमारास पोलिस ठाण्यात गर्दी उसळली. घटनेचे गांभीर्य लक्षात घेता जिल्हा पोलिस अधीक्षक डॉ. पवन बन्सोड, अपर अधीक्षक पीयूष जगताप, वरिष्ठ पोलिस अधिकारी, एसआरपीसह विविध पथके दाखल झाली. सध्या शहरात जागोजागी पोलिस बंदोबस्त लावण्यात आला असून, तणावपूर्ण शांतता आहे. मारहाणप्रकरणी येथील एका समुदायातील तीन लोकांना अटक करण्यात आली. जनावरांच्या तस्करीप्रकरणी चालकाला अटक करून इतर तिघांवर गुन्हे दाखल करण्यात आले. यातील फरार आरोपींचा पोलिस शोध घेत आहेत. दोन्ही प्रकरणात आरोपींची संख्या वाढणार आहे. तीन पोलिसांची उचलबांगडी होणार जनावर तस्करीत पोलिसांचे लागेबांधे असल्याचा आरोप नागरिकांतून करण्यात आला. हा सर्व प्रका...
