Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray resigned today after the Supreme Court allowed a no-trust vote. The no-trust vote will be held tomorrow in the Maharashtra Assembly. But the court said that both parties will have two days to file a rejoinder, and the final result of no-trust vote will be dependent on the outcome of the writ petition. Celebrations started in the BJP camp this evening as Uddhav Thackeray stepped down from the Chief Minister's post. BJP leaders were seen distributing sweets, shouting slogans at Mumbai's Taj hotel. At the centre of it all was Devendra Fadnavis, who met the Governor last evening and set off the end game. Uddhav Tha...
