Most Haunted: Watch Exorcisms at Mehandipur Balaji Temple in Rajasthan

Representational Image. Photograph Courtesy: If you love the thrill of a haunted story you’d enjoy our series on some of the most haunted places in India. From Goa’s NH 17 that is believed to have witches looking for meat and flesh to the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad where spirits cause accidents, these are just some of the places we’ve told you about. Rajasthan, however, seems to have some of the scariest places that are haunted by many evil spirits. The Bhangarh Fort is one such place where there is a board asking people to stay away from its premises after sunset. And if this doesn’t send a chill down your spine, today we tell you about the Mehandipur Balaji Temple that is sure to give you goosebumps. A visitor who went to this temple could not spend more than 10 minutes here as every second was as haunting as the other. The temple has different chambers and you will find people who are supposedly possessed by evil spirits chained and being beaten by pundits. Some pour boiling water on themselves without feeling a thing in order to ward off the spirit. The eerie atmosphere of the temple is enough to scare the daylights of even the bravest of people. The Mehandipur Balaji Temple also has certain rules that you should oblige to in order to stay safe. Offerings in the form of black balls are thrown in the fire in one of the chambers and aren’t supposed to be eaten. You should not take back any prasad when you leave the temple or look back once you leave its premises. Touc...

Ram Mandir Balaji in the city Mehandipur

This Ram Sita Temple is located right in front of the Balaji Temple. Fascinating and full of devotion. There is not as much crowd here as there is in the temple of Balaji, because the place of darshan in this temple is very large, in which a lot of people come together, while there is a very small place in the temple of Balaji, by which people had to see the line by darshan. And gets crowded. I am sharing a beautiful photo of this temple. Take darshan ... Jai Hanuman Gyan Gun Sagar Jai Kapis Tihun Lokjeet Ram Doot atulit Bal Dhhama Anjani Putrajaya Nirvaran Samity ke Sangeet Kanchana 1 Viraj Viraj Shankar Suvan Kesri Nandan He jagbandan Vidya Ganapati Chatur Ram Cars Corby karna karna ke saatha Sundar Hanumant balbeera Jay Jay Jay Hanuman Goswami krupa Karude Gurudev ke naayi bolo Hanuman ki jaa Balaji mujhe Shakti do mera bhoot Pret Durkaro karne karne aapke ke liye achchi sampatti do mujhe

Mehandipur Balaji Temple, Dausa

No doubt it is a divine place but I wish to share my experience about the arrangement at this place. 1. Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday are heavily crowded. On these days, you may require 3 to 4 hours in the line. 2. Right now there is some renovation work is going on so queues are too crowdy. 3. There is no discipline or order in the queues and no sufficient police team is deployed to handle these. However, if you are not having any physical issue, worth experience of The divine. This was my third visit to Balaji Temple, with family. Our train reached Bandikui railway station at about 4.30 pm on Friday. We came out through platform no. 6 side. Outside this platform there you would find many Tata Sumo/Mahindra Jeeps. They charge Rs. 80 per person on sharing basis and Rs. 1000 for whole taxi booking. We took personal taxi (Mahindra jeep) for Rs. 1000 to our place of stay near Balaji Temple. It was nearly 50 minutes ride. Roads are good and hence no problem. We did Darshan and took blessings of Balaji both days - on arrival (Friday) and on the day of departure (Saturday). Very powerful and 'Sidh' place and your wishes will be fulfilled. Now the practice of sprinkling of holy water on the devotees has been stopped and also prasad can be taken to homes. Earlier, it was the practice to leave Prasad at that place only, as taking the Prasad to home was forbidden. But now it is allowed and temple management does not encourage leaving Prasad in card board boxes outside of temple premis...
