Mumbai Man Accused Of Chopping, Boiling Live-In Partner's Body Says She Died By Suicide, Police To Verify Claims Mumbai Mira Road murder case: Accused Manoj Sane claimed that his live-in partner died by suicide and he decided to dispose of her body as he was scared that he would be accused of killing her. A new twist has emerged in the Mumbai Mira Road murder case as 56-year-old accused Manoj Sane claimed that his deceased live-in partner 32-year-old Saraswati Vaidya died by suicide on June 3. He decided to dispose of her body as he was scared that he would be accused of killing her, Manoj told the police. Manoj is accused of murdering Saraswati and chopping her body into pieces before boiling them in a pressure cooker. The murder was discovered by the police after neighbours of the Geeta Akash Deep Building Flat J-704 complained of an unbearable stench. According to news agency ANI, the accused told the police during his questioning that Saraswati Vaidya died by suicide on June 3. "He was scared that he would be accused of killing her, so he decided to dispose of her body. He told the Police that he chopped her body into pieces and boiled them in a pressure cooker to avoid the stench," Vasai-Virar Police stated. Police are yet to find the reason behind the murder. Police said the both accused killed the Anjali Singh and later chopped her body into three pieces to pack the body into a suitcase. Police said the duo also threw her body into the sea and the suitcase was found on Friday morning at Uttan Beach. All are residents of Nepal. Mira Road murder: Last rites of Saraswati Vaidya's 'chopped' remains performed by sisters

The last rites of 32-year-old Saraswati Vidya, who was allegedly killed by her live-in partner in their flat at Mira road, was performed by her sisters after they received her remains on Monday. As per police, the accused, 56-year-old Manoj Sane, used a chainsaw to chop of Vaidya’s body before boiling the pieces in a pressure cooker and roasting them. To ensure there was no foul smell, he filled her body parts in plastic bags with an intent to dispose them. The remains of Vaidya were sent for postmortem to state-run JJ Hospital. A report by PTI quoted a police official saying that Vaidya’s three sisters had demanded that her remains be handed to them for performing last rites. “After postmortem and DNA analysis, the body parts of Vaidya were handed over to them on Monday,” the official added. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar Police Jayant Bajbale told ANI that when the cops entered the house, they found several body pieces in utensils. He said, “The police have been successful in identifying them. His 3 sisters were called and identified too. Handing over the dead body to the family is in process. Their DNA is being matched. Investigation revealed that they were married. They did not tell anyone the age difference both had.”
