Momspresso Bharat to offer Indic language content services

Pregnancy and parenting website forum Women's blogging platform Momspresso has launched Momspresso Bharat, a digital services agency which will provide Indic language audio, video and text content in Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. This will start off with the company’s (user generated content) bloggers, the inhouse video production team, a language specific social media team and a technology team. Momspresso Bharat is targeting brands on the lookout for regional content, and offer content creation in text, audio, video, digital films, localisation of websites, regional analytics, social media management and transcreation. The company has appointed Hansveen Kaur as the service’s head. Kaur was previously the regional language lead at Momspresso. Google’s Navlekhā platform Note that in September last year, Google unveiled Navlekhā, a platform for offline news publishers to digitise their print publications using Optical Character Recognition to convert the text on their publications — even if it was not originally typed in Unicode — and publishing articles as posts online. Google would provide free hosting to publishers. The service is available in Hindi for now, and will expand to other Indian publishers soon, the company said at the time.
