Motilal Nehru College (Day) being known as a prestigious college of South Campus, University of Delhi brings a lot of opportunities for students to nurture. We, the students of commerce department have combined ourselves to formally call us the “Combrosia : The Commerce Subject Society” in order to learn beyond our textbooks and explore the plethora of knowledge which lies beyond us. Motilal Nehru College was established in the year 1964 and began functioning as Government Degree College in Moti Bagh, New Delhi from within the premises of a Govt. School building. The year 1966 saw the college being renamed as Hastinapur College and an autonomous governing body nominated by Govt. took over the administrative control of the body. The college received it’s the present name in the year 1977 when the governing body decided to rename it as Motilal Nehru College after Pt. Motilal Nehru- a great leader and freedom fighter. The college was shifted to its present location in Benito Juarez Marg, New Delhi-110021, in the year 1989. Affiliated to the University of Delhi, the college is one of the topmost Co-Educational institutions in South Campus and is UGC recognized under the “Act of 1956 of UGC”. It is largest is one of the largest constituent colleges of Delhi University. The college embarked on its journey with 270 odd students who were admitted in B.A (Pass), the only course available which included Commerce as an elective course. Now, the college is well equipped to offer as many as 13 courses in Science, Commerce and Arts discipline. MNC, University of Delhi also offers Masters degree in Commerce, Hindi and Political Science. Today the college enrols 3000 students in various programs all over from India and Abroad. Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad (MNNIT or NIT Allahabad), formerly Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College (MNREC), is a public higher education institute located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
