A world where women are empowered is a better world for all. If women had unlimited access to all the positions we deserve — as leaders, healers, scientists, writers, artists, engineers, speakers, athletes, educators, and so much more — we would be a whole lot closer to experiencing true equality and seeing the end of poverty. There is so much value in uplifting women and making sure we have the reins to lead our own lives, yet we still face barriers, the result of systems designed to cement gender inequality in our lives and futures. For centuries women have stood up and refused to remain silent in the face of oppression; women have fought for our rights throughout history, and where they could, they brought a band of sisters along with them, making sure to leave no woman behind. That’s the power of womanhood: that in moving forward, taking up space, and designing a world where everyone can be free of poverty’s systematic causes, we refuse to leave our sisters behind. It’s not just something you’ll see in history, it’s ongoing throughout generations. Today, there are formidable women and girls who continue that legacy in every space. Because, we’ll say it again, a world where women are empowered, is a better world for all. Myna Mahila foundation is a non-profit organisation that has directly impacted over 5,00,000 women at their doorstep in some of the most vulnerable slum communities and schools in Mumbai. We operate on three pillars: 1) Holistic menstrual hygiene education 2) Access to sanitary napkins 3) Employing women to manufacture and dispatch sanitary napkins We organize a variety of activities under each pillar with the goal of developing women leaders who are financially stable, confident and have more agency in the household and community to make decisions. Vision for the next 5 years are: 1) Myna Health: Improve Menstrual Hygiene Access for 2,100,000 women and girls 2) Myna Employ: Employ 100,000 women 3) Myna Research: Better understand how to deliver effective programs through data collection and analysis Task 1: • Identify partnering and funding avenues based on our reach and work. This could include Grant applications, different CSR partners (across the world). • Help us reach our target of 100 new corporates/ partners that we could reach out to - research 10 such organisations per week. Task 2: • Content development: One-pagers and three-pagers • Using Canva put together one-pagers and three-pagers for each of our programs • Each week you can work one one programs one-pager and three-pager (information will be provided by us) ​ Task 3: • Individual Fundraising Campaign Ideas and Strategy. This includes reaching out to school students/ college students across India and beyond...
