National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR) The Academy was originally founded in 1930 atDehradun. However it was soon closed down and the infrastructure used toestablish Indian Military Academy. The National Academy of Indian Railways,formerly known as Railway Staff College was then setup at its present regalsylvan surroundings at Vadodara, in 1952. It is housed in the Pratap VilasPalace (built in 1914 AD) surrounded by lush green lawns and designed by C.F.Stevens in the renaissance style.
