Official React documentation recommends using Functional Components over Class Components. So, should I even study Class Components? YES. In fact it is one of my favourite topics that I have taught in `Namaste React Web Series.` You should definitely dive deep into Class components, because, 0. Interviews: Many companies still have older projects with a lot of Class components written in them. They expects candidates to know Class Components when they hire and interviewers ask this a lot in interviews (even today) 1. Life Cycle Methods: Understanding how the life cycle of components work will give you a good knowledge of the mounting, updating and un mounting process of components. (hot interview question) 2. Documentation and libraries: You may come across Class Components in external libraries, open-source projects, or documentation examples of many projects. 3. Deeper Understanding: Studying class components deeply builds a strong foundation of how react works behind the scenes. You will understand the reconciliation process even better.
