As TNT's Allie LaForce put it Sunday night, everything about the 2021 NBA All-Star experience was rather . . . unique. Instead of holding its typical All-Star events over multiple days, the league crammed everything into one evening. The best players from around the NBA gathered at State Farm Arena in Atlanta with the skills competitions and All-Star Game all taking place over the course of a few hours. Unlike last year's drama-filled exhibition, the 2021 All-Star Game failed to deliver an exciting ending, as Team LeBron coasted to a 170-150 victory over Team Durant. Giannis Antetokounmpo took home the All-Star MVP trophy after scoring 35 points on perfect 16-of-16 shooting. The All-Star festivities started with the Skills Challenge, which became the Domantas Sabonis Show. The Pacers big man defeated Julius Randle, Luka Doncic and Nikola Vucevic in that event to capture the title. Stephen Curry unsurprisingly emerged as the 3-point Contest champion, though Mike Conley did give him a challenge. Anfernee Simons did just enough to win the Slam Dunk Contest, which took place at halftime of the All-Star Game. Sporting News provided live updates from the 2021 NBA All-Star Game as well as the Skills Challenge, 3-point Contest and Slam Dunk Contest. Check out all of the highlights you may have missed below.
