TIRUPATI: Former Alur MLA Patil Neeraja Reddy met with a road accident near Itikyala village in Gadyal Jogulamba district and died while undergoing treatment at Kurnool on Sunday. According to Kodandapuram police, 52-year-old Neeraja Reddy was travelling from Hyderabad to Kurnool. The back tyre of her speeding car burst all of a sudden, the driver of the vehicle lost control resulting into the overspeeding SUV turning turtle and crasheing into the farmlands abutting the national highway 44. Though Neeraja Reddy was rushed to a private hospital at Kurnool immediately, she breathed her last at the hospital on Sunday. Former MLA and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in charge of Kurnool’s Aluru, Neeraja Reddy, died in a road accident on Sunday. The mishap occurred while she was returning to Kurnool from Hyderabad. The 52-year-old sustained grievous injuries when her car overturned after a tyre burst at Beechupally in Telangana and the driver lost control of the vehicle. She was immediately taken to the Sri Chakra Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. GADWAL: Former MLA from Aluru Constituency, Patil Neeraja Reddy died in a tragic road accident on Sunday in the district, after her SUV overturned due to a tyre burst. As per details, the accident took place on National Highway No: 44 near Jinkalapalli of Itikyala mandal of Jogulamba Gadwala district. A former Congress MLA from Aluru in Kurnool district, Neeraja Reddy was in the car when she was going from Hyderabad to Kurnool. The car hit the divider after the tyre burst and overturned multiple times. The car was crushed due to the impact and Gadwal police stated that Neeraja Reddy sustained serious injuries to her head and other parts in the accident. She was immediately rushed to the Government Hospital in Kurnool where she died while undergoing treatment. As per reports Neerja Reddy's husband, Seshi Reddy, a former MLA from Pattikonda was killed in a faction clash.
