Two candidates named Prabanjan J from Tamil Nadu and Bora Varun Chakravarthi from Andhra Pradesh have been declared joint all-India toppers in the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) for undergraduate medical courses. The number of qualifiers increased by 48.5% as 1,145,976 candidates qualified from 2,038,596 candidates who appeared for the exam. NEW DELHI: Two candidates scored a perfect 720 and declared joint toppers in this year’s National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) for admission to undergraduate medical courses. The highlight of this year's test is that the number of candidates who appeared increased by 15.5% from 2022 and the number of qualifiers increased by 48.5%. According to the results, announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday night, Prabanjan J from Tamil Nadu and Bora Varun Chakravarthi from Andhra Pradesh were declared joint all-India toppers, both securing 720 marks. Kaustav Bauri from Tamil Nadu with 716 marks is all India rank 3, while Punjab girl Pranjal Aggarwal with 715 marks and through the tie-breaker method was declared all-India rank 4 and also the female topper. According to a senior NTA official, candidates who scored identical marks are accorded ranks as per the tie-breaker rule where the candidate with higher marks in biology is ranked above the rest. NEET UG 2022 Answer Key, Result Live Updates: National Testing Agency (NTA) will publish provisional answer key of NEET 2022 soon. The entrance exam was conducted on July 17 at exam centres across India and overseas. NEET answer key will be published on neet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in. Sharing his preparation strategy, Harshit shared how he got motivated to prepare for NEET in just 45 days. Check his journey below. Harshit has extended his gratitude towards his parents and stated they were extremely supportive during the NEET preparations. His father is a businessman and his mother is a homemaker. From an early age, Harshit drew inspiration from the stories of Dr. Trehan, a Cardiologist, closed acquaintance of his father. Talking about his preparation, Harshit says, “There were times when despite all nighters and maximum effort my marks were not improving, and I felt demotivated. Before the exams the course started to seem boring and I felt saturated, and I even took days off from studying. But as the tests got more intensive, I got motivated to push one last time to do as best as I can and prepare with full focus for the last 45 days before NEET. My family and teachers encouraged me to stay motivated during the entire time.”
