Netaji Subhas Open University or NSOU is a Kolkata-based state-level open university. NSOU was founded in 1997. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and the Government of West Bengal. NSOU is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with grade ‘A’. Netaji Subhash Open University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the Association of Asian Open Universities (AAOU), and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). NSOU Kolkata offers undergraduate and postgraduate distance education programmes in the arts, science, commerce, and a variety of other fields under six schools. The university has 140+ study centres spread over West Bengal. It began offering a bachelor's degree in science in 2000 and a master's degree in mathematics in 2002. NSOU Admission 2023: Netaji Subhas Open University has started admission for the Blended Vocational Education and Training pogramme for the July session. 30 June 2023 is the last date to apply for NSOU Admission 2023-24. Courses like MA, MSW, MSc in Mathematics, MA JMC, and Advance Diplomas are available for enrollment. • Admission process is ongoing for the MOOC Cyber Security program. Students can apply till 12 July 2023 at NSOU. • NSOU has started the registration for 8 week online term training course on Introduction to Indian Knowledge Systems. ( • NSOU has released the application form for the Medicinal plant certificate course admission 2023. The PG Zoology unit started it journey since 2007 with an intake capacity of 25 students. This unit of NSOU is run by the Department of Zoology, Durgapur Government College. Teaching is conducted by College teachers and Guest teachers from University of Burdwan, Kalyani University, Barasat State University and from different colleges like R.B.C.
