On August 5, 2019 there were sweeping constitutional changes pertaining to the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir. The state is to be bifurcated. Instead of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, two Union Territories, the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and the UT of Ladakh will be created on October 31, 2019. We are awaiting changes on Government's own websites and official notification. The boundaries are illustrative. Refer to official maps from GOI.
