Nothing Phone (1) starts receiving Android 13 update

Android 13 Stable Android 13 update is now available for the Nothing Phone (1) This update follows the Nothing OS 1.5 Open Beta build that Nothing rolled out back in December. Users have been eagerly anticipating the stable update, and it’s now here. It comes with the January 2023 Android security patch for some reason, though. There is a chance that the rollout is limited to Open Beta testers, though. Keep that in mind, as we cannot confirm it yet. If that is the case, it will start rolling out to everyone really soon. If you’re not one for waiting, you can manually install it thanks to XDA Developers. Head over to their Nothing Phone (1) update tracker in order to grab the necessary file. If you don’t know exactly what you’re doing, wait, as the process is not entirely straightforward. So you’ll be getting a new Nothing weather app, and a new collection of minimalist wallpapers. There’s a new self-repair feature, which automatically deleted caches and unused system dumps. The Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5.2 update brings the new weather app (also a part of the beta update) and introduces visual changes like a new media control, volume setting panel, Game mode light notifications, and a new camera app UI, among other things.
