Source Path (Debugging with GDB)

Next: 9.5 Specifying Source Directories Executable programs sometimes do not record the directories of the source files from which they were compiled, just the names. Even when they do, the directories could be moved between the compilation and your debugging session. GDB has a list of directories to search for source files; this is called the source path. Each time GDB wants a source file, it tries all the directories in the list, in the order they are present in the list, until it finds a file with the desired name. For example, suppose an executable references the file /usr/src/foo-1.0/lib/foo.c, does not record a compilation directory, and the source path is /mnt/cross. GDB would look for the source file in the following locations: • /usr/src/foo-1.0/lib/foo.c • /mnt/cross/usr/src/foo-1.0/lib/foo.c • /mnt/cross/foo.c If the source file is not present at any of the above locations then an error is printed. GDB does not look up the parts of the source file name, such as /mnt/cross/src/foo-1.0/lib/foo.c. Likewise, the subdirectories of the source path are not searched: if the source path is /mnt/cross, and the binary refers to foo.c, GDB would not find it under /mnt/cross/usr/src/foo-1.0/lib. Plain file names, relative file names with leading directories, file names containing dots, etc. are all treated as described above, except that non-absolute file names are not looked up literally. If the source path is /mnt/cross, the source file is recorded as ../lib/foo.c, and no ...

A debugger is a program that runs other programs, allowing the user to exercise control over these programs, and to examine variables when problems arise. GNU Debugger, which is also called gdb, is the most popular debugger for UNIX systems to debug C and C++ programs. GNU Debugger helps you in getting information about the following: • If a core dump happened, then what statement or expression did the program crash on? • If an error occurs while executing a function, what line of the program contains the call to that function, and what are the parameters? • What are the values of program variables at a particular point during execution of the program? • What is the result of a particular expression in a program? How GDB Debugs? GDB allows you to run the program up to a certain point, then stop and print o...

You can upload recorded routes by GPS-tracker to the GIS Viewer. View Geo Data of your activities (run, walk, hike, drive) by yourself or share the result with your co-workers, your family and your closest friends even if you are far away from each other. All you need is a GIS file in any of the supported formats: • gpx • kml, kmz • geojson, json, topojson • shp, dbf, shx, cpg, prj, qix • mif, mid • tab, map, id, dat • gdb, gdbtable, gbdtablx • gml • osm • csv • tif, geotiff • asc Once rendered, the GIS Viewer allows to download the rendered Geo data in the popular raster or vector formats: PNG, JPEG, BMP, PDF, SVG. • Select the render format from the drop-down list (the default format is PNG) • Select the render scale (the default scale is medium) • Select the Map reference system 2 (the default system is Wgs84). Use a popular spatial reference system from a list or choose a custom system to enter the functioning EPSG code (4–5-digit numbers that represent coordinate reference system definitions) by yourself. We recommend choose "Undefined" to avoid repeated redefinition of the coordinate system (SRS). - Padding is a padding from the edges of the image(map), - Warp Height and Warp Width are for changing the resolution of a raster image(map), - Extent.XMin, ExtentXmax, extent.YMin, Extent.YMax are to specify the bounds of a map to render. If no values are set, GIS Viewer automatically adds all objects from the GIS file to the rendered map. • Click the "Generate" button aft...
