Oppo Find X6 Pro review

Introduction Meet one of the best smartphones in the world, which also happens to be one of the hardest ones to buy - the Oppo Find X6 Pro. The next generation Find flagship introduces an exquisite design, the most premium OLED panel, the fastest available chip, 100W fast charging, and a trio of premium 50MP cameras with the largest of sensors and with Hasselblad Color Calibration. The caveat is it's only available in China. The Oppo Find X6 Pro is the ultimate smartphone package, going by its specs at least. The phone's design combines Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and Gorilla Glass 5 or eco-leather; there is a metal frame and a special metal ring around the camera island. Oh, and the whole thing is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. The 6.82-inch OLED screen uses a 1440p LTPO3 panel of 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and Dolby Vision support. This screen is capable of 1,500 nits of maximum and up to 2,500 nits of peak brightness. This latest generation LTPO should allow for flexible refresh rate adaptiveness and reduce the strain on the battery life. The Find X6 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, and there is a lot of RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, too. The phone also comes with a large 5,000 mAh battery and seriously fast wired (100W) and wireless (50W) charging support. But nowadays, the cameras are usually the most intriguing aspect of a high-end smartphone, and that's also the case with the Find X6 Pro. There are three 50MP cameras on its ...

Well, if you’ve stumbled across the phone’s renders and design shots, then you’ll know that the OPPO Find X6 Pro comes with a captivating camera module. More to the point, the smartphone gets a two-toned finish which further accentuates its good looks. In particular, the back of the phone has been outfitted (in parts) with vegan leather material which feels remarkably premium to the touch. The smartphone’s leather back is texturized as well, so it should help you grip the phone better too. Speaking o...

OPPO Find X6 Pro review: The best phone you won't care about

Joe Biden, 80, Suffers Humiliating Blunder After Root Canal as he Declares 'Build Back Biden' OPPO's © Apoorva Bhardwaj / Android Central null That's why I was excited to see what's in store with the Find X6 Pro. I've used the phone for a while now, but much of it wasn't as a daily driver as it doesn't come with Google services out of the box. While earlier versions of Find devices debuted outside China, that isn't the case with this generation — the X6 Pro is limited to the mainland, and it won't be available in global markets. That's a real shame, because the device would have allowed OPPO to cement its portfolio in global markets. The There's no official reason for why the X6 Pro isn't available globally, and I feel like the Chinese manufacturer is being overly conservative with its strategy at a time when it needs to be aggressive and seize momentum. As such, even though the X6 Pro deservedly gets a high score, I cannot recommend it as the device isn't officially available outside China. OPPO Find X6 Pro: Pricing and availability OPPO launched the Find X6 Pro on March 21, and the phone is now available in the brand's home market. Unlike earlier versions in the series, the device will not be sold globally, and is limited to China. The X6 Pro starts off at 5,999 RMB ($840) for the version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, 6,499 RMB ($909) for the variant with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and 6,999 RMB ($979) for the high-end 16GB/512GB variant — this is the one...

OPPO Find X6 Pro review: The best phone you won't care about

The Find X6 Pro delivers meaningful upgrades across the board from its predecessor, and the changes to its design aesthetic make it stand out quite a bit. OPPO also upgraded the internal hardware and overhauled the cameras, delivering one of the best camera packages on a phone today. The integration with Hasselblad is still intact, and it too has considerable changes to the tuning this year, and you get natural photos that look amazing. Throw in a large battery with some of the fastest charging tech and the same number of updates as Samsung's best phones, and the Find X6 Pro is an all-rounder. There's just one problem, and it is a deal-breaker: the phone isn't launching outside China, so it misses out on the Play Store and other Google services. Pros • + Trio of 50MP cameras with a 1-inch main sensor • + Excellent hardware with zero overheating issues • + Unique design with leather back and dual-tone finish • + Vibrant AMOLED panel with plenty of customizability • + Stellar battery life with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging • + Will get same number of software updates as Galaxy S23 Ultra That's why I was excited to see what's in store with the Find X6 Pro. I've used the phone for a while now, but much of it wasn't as a daily driver as it doesn't come with Google services out of the box. Oppo Find X6 Pro could take on Samsung and Apple with a huge camera sensor

The camera setup on the Oppo Find X5 Pro (Image credit: Future) The standard Oppo Find X6, meanwhile, looks set to boast the same 50MP main and ultrawide cameras as its premium sibling, alongside a slightly smaller 32MP telephoto unit. Though it’s easy to criticize mobile manufacturers for increasing the size and number of cameras on their handsets for the sake of, well, size and numbers, doing so is important for brands such as Oppo. While consumers – in the US, UK and Australia, at least – may regularly opt for new Samsung or Apple smartphones owing to their familiarity or the convenience of their respective ecosystems, the Chinese phone brands must necessarily go big on cameras, displays and other distinguishing features to make their presence known. And it's not as if the likes of Samsung are standing still in this regard, either; for instance, the A one-inch camera sensor would help the Find X6 Pro do just that – and we’re excited (read: hoping) to see Oppo officially lift the lid on its X6 series in the new year.
