Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G Price in India, Specifications, Comparison (17th June 2023)

Design has always been a big talking point for the Reno series and it's no different with the Reno 7 Pro.The glass back of the Oppo Reno 7 Pro has a new finish. Oppo says it has used a new laser process to create hundreds of diagonal micro-etches, which are visible at certain angles. The 6.5-inch AMOLED panel means delivers very good colours and contrast. It's a full-HD+ panel with a 90Hz peak refresh rate and 180Hz peak touch sampling rate, plus Corning Gorilla 5 for scratch protection. There's a new SoC in the Oppo Reno 7 Pro, the Dimensity 1200-Max from MediaTek. This is basically a standard Dimensity 1200 SoC with two special optimisations made for the Reno 7 Pro.You get ColorOS 12 but this is still based on Android 11, not Android 12.I ran PUBG: New State to test how this phone handles demanding multiplayer games. Oppo Reno 8 Pro review: a great no

Contents • • • • • • Show 1 more item Instead, the Reno 8 Pro is a competitor to the The Reno 8 Pro is a great-looking smartphone and one you’ll be proud to carry around. Oppo has mastered the integrated camera module look on its phones (and those from OnePlus now, too), and although the camera module on the back of the Reno 8 Pro is big, the gentle curve around it minimizes its impact. It gives the phone a real identity. Related • • • Andy Boxall/Digital Trends It’s a good thing those curves are there because, otherwise, the Reno 8 Pro is very flat. The chassis has flat sides, the glass covering the screen is flat, and the rest of the rear panel is flat too. It’s moderately comfortable to hold (the edges are a little sharp), but the low 186-gram weight really helps avoid much fatigue. While it’s all made from glass, it is Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back. The phone has a basic IP54 water resistance rating for a decent degree of everyday protection. The low weight and pleasing in-hand feel have made the Reno 8 Pro wonderful to use. It has happily slipped into my pocket without a fuss and has just the right style to attract attention when it’s on show. The small bezels around the 6.7-inch AMOLED screen give it a very modern look from the front. There are two colors available: an ordinary Glazed Black model and the Glazed Green seen in our photos. It’s hard to do the color justice, as the cool, minty green looks superb in real life. It’s certainly the one to get if you ...

Oppo Reno 8 review

First off, it has 80W charging, which is pretty fast for a mid-range phone. Sure, some of the fastest mobiles currently available top out at 150W, but 80W is fast enough to feel impressive without ruining a phone’s battery straightaway. The MediaTek chipset here is powerful enough for most tasks — including games if you don’t need the fanciest graphics — and makes navigating the phone feel pretty snappy. (Image credit: Future) There are some things to really like about this phone, though it’s certainly not perfect. The angular and iPhone-inspired design makes the handset uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time, and the device won’t set the world on fire from a photography perspective, though its capabilities really aren't that bad for its price point. We also predict some will be annoyed by the appearance — the Shimmer Gold is certainly eye-catching, reflecting light rays to show the color spectrum at certain angles — but some people just prefer plain-looking phones. There’s also a black option available, but judging by images we've seen (we didn't get one to test), that version still seems quite reflective. Perhaps the biggest issue with the Oppo Reno 8 is its competition. Even looking outside Oppo’s handsets, at options like the That is to say, while the Reno is fine for its price, it’s not exactly eye-catching or flashy in any way that makes it stand out. So if you buy this phone, you won’t really be disappointed, but the grass may really be greener somewhere els...
