Anupamaa actor Paras Kalnawat's father dies of massive heart attack

By Vishal Sharma: Paras Kalnawat's father died after suffering a massive cardiac arrest today (March 27). Paras, who plays Samar Shah on Anupamaa, was shooting on the sets when his mother called him to inform him that his father is being rushed to the hospital. According to a source who was present on the sets of Anupamaa, Paras Kalnawat received his mother's call at around 1.30 pm. She was profusely crying on the call. She informed him that his father was being rushed to the hospital after he collapsed in the lift. After disconnecting the call, Paras too the production team's bike and rushed to the hospital. Along with Paras, the entire cast and crew, including Rupali Ganguli, Sudhanshu Pandey and others, also left for the hospital. However, when Paras reached the hospital, his father had already breathed his last.

Popular TV actor Paras Kalnawat, who plays the role of Samar in ‘Anupamaa’, is grief stricken as he has lost his father on Saturday (March 27). The young actor was shooting for his hit show when he received a call from his mother. According to a report in Times Of India, the actor’s father was taken to the hospital after he collapsed in the lift. Paras immediately reached the hospital but his father had left for his heavenly abode by the time he reached. Paras’ on-screen parents Sudhanshu Pandey and Rupali Ganguly reached the hospital to extend support to him. The shooting for ‘Anupamaa’ has been put on halt for few hours, the report in TOI said. On the professional front, Paras Kalnawat made his acting debut with ‘Meri Durga’. He later went on to feature in shows like ‘Mariam Khan Reporting Live’, ‘Dil Hi Toh Hai 2’ and ‘Laal Ishq’. The talented actor became a household after playing the role of Samar in Star Plus’‘Anupamaa’. The show has been topping the TRP charts since several weeks. Anupamaa actor Paras Kalnawat who plays the role of Rupali Ganguly’s younger son Samar Shah in the daily soap lost his father Bhushan Kalnawat on Saturday (March 27). He passed away after suffering a massive heart attack. Reportedly, the actor’s father collapsed in the elevator and was immediately taken to the hospital. At that time, Paras was busy shooting for the serial but rushed to the hospital after he got a call. Even Rupali Ganguli, Sudhanshu Pandey and other team members had made their way to the hospital. Paras Kalnawat recalled how he resumed shoot for Anupamaa four days after his father's death during the COVID-19 pandemic. The actor, who was fired from the show for breaching the contract and signing a dance reality show on a rival channel, opened up on his 'difficult' moment post his dad's demise. The Dil Hi Toh Hai actor, while interacting with a portal, recounted how he did a lot for the show even when he was facing issues in personal life. Anupamaa actor Paras Kalnawat's father passed away a few hours ago after he suffered a massive heart attack. As per TOI report, Paras got a call from his mother, who informed him that his father collapsed in the lift. As soon as he got the news, he rushed to the hospital. Apparently, the show's team also rushed to the hospital and his co-stars Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey are with Paras. The source further revealed, "His co-actors Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey are with him at the hospital, along with other cast and crew members. The shooting of the show too has been stalled for a few hours. Everyone on the set is in a state of shock." It has to be recalled that Paras had tested positive for COVID-19 in February this year and was relieved as his father had tested negative. He had said, "Thankfully, my dad, who is not only a diabetic, but also had an angiography sometime back, tested negative and that was the biggest relief."
