Towards this end, a pensioners’ portal, i.e. SPARSH (System for Pension Administration Raksha), for automation of sanction and disbursement of Pension has been implemented wef 01 Aug 2021 by CGDA/ MoD. 3. There have been glitches in the system and difficulties in uploading Life Certificates. AGs Branch and fmns have been trying to help out in this context. PCDA – Approval for extension of Annual identification for three months रक्षा लेखा प्रधान नियंत्रक (पेंशन) द्रौपदीघाट, प्रयागराज-211014 PRINCIPAL CONTROLLER OF DEFENCE ACCOUNTS (PENSION) DRAUPADI GHAT, PRAYAGRAJ – 211014. Competent authority has accorded approval for extension of Annual identification for three months for SPARSH migrated pensioners, (Therefore “No Pension will be stopped for 3 months”) whose identification was due in month of November, 2022. SPARSH migrated pensioners are advised hereby to perform annual identification through various modes available (through Jeevan Pramaan, through SPARSH portal and through SPARSH Service Centre) at the earliest to avoid stoppage of pension. Pensioners who have performed Annual identification through any available modes may check their status by visiting link Pensioners who have submitted Annual identification through MLC mode of SPARSH may check their status through above link regularly as it takes some time and get reflected after approval of back end user of PCDAP.

About Sparsh PCDA Pensi on Portal : This blog is to provide information about the sparsh PCDA pension portal. Sparsh stands for the system for pension administration for RAKSHA. Whereas PCDA refers to the principal controller of defense accounts. Let us understand the current existing system. This scheme was enacted especially for defense personnel pensioners. As of today, we have three pension-sanctioning authorities. One for the army at Allahabad. Another one for the navy at Mumbai. Lastly, one for the Indian air force at Delhi. These authorities generate the PPO (pension payment order). That payment order will be sent to service headquarters and the CPPC (centralized pension processing cell) of the bank. Then followed by providing pensions to the defense pensioners. Currently, pension is dispersed by 28 public sector banks and 4 private sector banks. Defense personnel used to get pensions through treasuries at a time when banks did not exist. But now treasuries are almost extinct. And through 63 DPDOs (defense pension disbursing offices) that are mostly in north India. Also, 500 post offices were used to disperse the pensions.
