However, it may participate in most AKC events, including Agility, Obedience and AKC Junior Showmanship. This certificate will contain detailed information about your dog. You’ll also gain access to resources and services for every stage of your dog’s life. • To register your dog with the AKC, your dog should have a unique name. Find out if the name you have in mind is available, and if it meets AKC requirements. • Each individual dog breed has its own set of Standard (S), and some breeds have Alternate (A) color and marking codes.
