स्वास्तिक को अत्यंत प्राचीन समय से बहुत ही मंगल प्रतीक माना जाता है। हिंदू धर्म में किसी भी शुभ कार्य से पहले स्वास्तिक का चिन्ह अवश्य बनाया जाता है। स्वास्तिक शब्द सु+अस+क शब्दों से मिलकर बना है। 'सु' का अर्थ अच्छा या शुभ, 'अस' का अर्थ 'सत्ता' या 'अस्तित्व' और 'क' का अर्थ 'कर्त्ता' या करने वाले से है। इस तरह से स्वास्तिक शब्द का अर्थ मंगल करने वाला माना गया है। स्वास्तिक को भगवान गणेश का प्रतीक भी माना जाता है। गणेश जी शुभता के देवता है और प्रथम पूजनीय हैं इसलिए भी हर कार्य से पहले स्वास्तिक का चिन्ह बनाना बहुत ही शुभ रहता है। खासतौर पर मां लक्ष्मी और गणेश जी की पूजा में स्वास्तिक का चिन्ह अवश्य बनाया जाता है। आइए जानते हैं स्वास्तिक का चिन्ह बनाने का महत्व और इसे बनाने के लाभ। सामान्यतः स्वास्तिक दो रेखाओं द्वारा बनाया जाता है जो एक दूसरे को काटती हुई होती हैं। जो आगे बढ़कर मुड़ जाती हैं और इसकी चार भुजाएं बन जाती हैं। जिस स्वास्तिक में रेखाएं आगे की ओर इंगित करती हुई दायीं ओर मुड़ती हैं वह स्वास्तिक शुभ माना जाता है। यह स्वास्तिक जीवन में शुभता और प्रगति का संकेत होता है। स्वास्तिक बनाते समय बहुत ध्यान रखना चाहिए बायीं ओर जाती हुई रेखाएं शुभ नहीं होती हैं। ऋग्वेद में स्वास्तिक को सूर्य माना गया है और उसकी चारों भुजाओं को चार दिशाओं की उपमा दी गई है। इसके अलावा स्वास्तिक के मध्य भाग को विष्णु की कमल नाभि और रेखाओं को ब्रह्माजी के चार मुख, चार हाथ और चार वेदों के रूप में भी निरूपित किया जाता है। अन्य ग्रंथो में स्वास्तिक को चार युग, चार आश्रम (धर्म, अर्थ, काम और मोक्ष) का प्रतीक भी माना गया है। यह मांगलिक विलक्षण चिन्ह अनादि काल से ही संपूर्ण सृष्टि में व्याप्त रहा है। भा...
