Electricity pricing sometimes referred as electricity tariff. UPPCL has broadly categorized its tariff on the basis of voltagae level. • Low Medium Voltage (LMV). • High Voltage (HV). LMV Consumers are further sub-categorized in 10 parts, called - LMV1, LMV2,... LMV10. Similarly, HV consumers are also sub-categorized in 4 parts, called - HV1, HV2, HV3 and HV4. Based on the Area, such as Urban or Rural, Connection type such as Metered or Unmetered, Billing units, such as KWH or KVAH, all these tariff were divided into Supply Type. Lets discuss all these Supply Type... Premises for residential / domestic purpose, Accommodation for Paying Guests for Domestic purpose (Excluding Guest Houses), Janata Service Connections, Kutir Jyoti Connections, Jhuggi / Hutments, Places of Worship (e.g. Temples, Mosques, Gurudwaras, Churches) and Electric Crematoria, Shelter Homes, orphanages, old age homes, Institutions run for mentally retarded and forsaken children. Above 50 KW mixed load consumers of Registered Societies, Residential Colonies / Townships, Residential Multi-Storied Buildings with mixed loads (getting supply at single point) with the condition that at least 70% of the total contracted load shall be exclusively for the purposes of domestic light, fan and power.
