Each year we admit students for Ph.D. programme based on number of vacancies. Guidance / supervision / mentorship for Ph.D. is offered in all thrust areas of research. Over the last 30 years Department has successfully trained more than 30 M.Phil and 50 Ph.D. students. Our Alumni are well placed in industry, research and academic institutions in India and abroad. Department always encourages motivated students for Ph.D. programme and such students are supported through various programmes. At present about 22 Ph.D. students are working in the Department. Department attracts large number of students from India and abroad for Ph.D. programme in Microbiology. Admission to the Ph. The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has started the PhD admission process for the academic year 2022-23 under which the details of vacancies from the approved research guides is being collected from all the academic departments and research centers affiliated to the university. The university has issued a circular in this regard on July 30. All the procedures and rules for this are given in the circular. The admission process will be conducted for the vacant seats under the recognized guides affiliated to the research centre.
