ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ 30 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 1962 ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਆਪਣੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂਲ ਮਕਸਦ ਲਈ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਥਾਹ ਮਾਣਮੱਤਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਅਵਸਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲ ਦੀ ਹਿਬਰੋ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ‘ਤੇ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂਲ ਮਕਸਦ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਲਈ ਖੋਜ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਪੀਡੀਆ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਆਨ ਲਾਈਨ ਸਟੱਡੀ ਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਮੈਡੀਸਨ, ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਬਿਜ਼ਨੈੱਸ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼, ਕੰਪਿਊਟਿੰਗ ਸਾਈਂਸਜ਼, ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਫਰਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਕਾਨੂੰਨ, ਲਾਈਫ ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਕਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਥੇ ਉਚੇਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਖੋਜ, ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਲਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੈ। ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੋਜ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਚਦਿਆਂ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਲ 2002-07 ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ‘ਪੰਜ ਸਟਾਰ’ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਗੇੜ 2008-13 ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਗੇੜ 2016-23 ਲਈ ਏ ਗਰੇਡ ਤਜਵੀਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ 65 ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਧਿਆਪਨ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਲਗਭਗ 14000 ਵ...

College Infrastructure University College of engineering has excellent facilities for students. The classrooms are very clean and the furniture is excellent. Being a student of this college I can say that the staff is very cooperative and responsible. Hostel faculty is also good. The hostel has 8 floor building with WiFi. Food in mess is healthy and furniture in mess is neet and clean. The environment is very good. Academics Education structure is updated and the staff is cooperative. I am currently pursuing B.Tech (CSE) because this is the course I've desired. Teachers are good and classrooms are upgraded with smart boards. Labs and workshops are also there for practical work. All these things makes the study comfortable and easy tu understand for students. Value for Money B.Tech course per year fees is near about 1 lakh. And I think this is reasonable. The fees structure is relevant as compared to other neighbouring universities. We can also study by taking education loan which makes our study easy without being burden on parents.
