Vyasa bhagavan, born as Sri Krishna Dvaipayana, contributed a lot to our Vaidhika dharma including organization the Veda into 4 parts and its shakas, writing Mahabharatha and 18 Maha puranas, systematically and logically arranging concepts dealt in the Upanishads in the form of sutras called Vedanta sutras or Brahma sutras, to name a very few. His Jayanthi is celebrated as Vyasa purnima or Guru Purnima. Sanyasis, irrespective of their sampradaya, start their chaturmasya vratham with Vyasa Pooja on this day. Vyasa pooja, however, is not restricted only for Sanyasis. Whoever follows Vaidhika dharma, can / have to worship Vyasacharya. Satyanarayan Vrat July 2022: Know how to perform Satyanarayan Pooja

Satyanarayan Vrat July 2022: Shri Satyanarayan Vrat and pooja is conducted to please Lord Vishnu. Shri Stayanarayan Pooja is performed every month on full moon day (Purnima Tithti). Satyanarayan vrat is observed only on the full moon day (Purnima) because Purnima is the favourite day of Shri Satyanarayan. Shri Satyanarayan Vrat will be performed in the month of Ashadha, which is on Wednesday, 13th July 2022. 1. Purnima fast is considered to be the most auspicious. The devotees who keep fast on Purnima, must wake up early and take bath. 2. Place Satyanarayan idol, offer flowers, vermillion, kumkum, keep a kalash full of water and Light a diya. 3. Satyanarayan pooja can be performed anytime. 4. Devotees must offer Panchamrit which is the mixture of five things (Milk, Curd, Honey, Sugar and Ghee) and put Tulsi Patra in Panchamrit and offer to Lord Vishnu. 5. The devotees who wants to please Lord Vishnu must offer Tulsi Patra and it is believed that without Tulsi Patra pooja is considered incomplete. 6. Prasad offered to Lord Vishnu is made of roasted wheat flour, sugar, banana and put Tulsi Patra in this mixture. 7.
