The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium is also known as the Raipur International Cricket Stadium. It is a novel cricket ground in Naya-Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It has the total seating capability of 65,000 spectators. This ground was opened in the year 2008. It is the 2nd largest cricket sports ground of India and 4th largest in the world as per seating capacity. It is the nineteenth venue of IPL matches. RICS has also hosted a ½ Marathon having the theme "Let’s run" on 16th December, 2012 for marking Vijay Diwas. Mr. Sunil Gavaskar (Sunny) had rated it as one of the finest stadiums in India. The first match of international standard that is played here is in between Canada and State team of Chhattisgarh on 21st of November, 2010.
