Ranchi water park

Kanke dam is situated on the base of Gonda hills.It is about 8 kms from Ranchi railway station.It is a nice place for health point of view because I felt here a good weather condition.Ranchi mental hospital is very near from here.The dam is the main water reservior of Ranchi.Water is supplied from here to entire Ranchi.The dam is well mentained.The surroundings are neat and clean. Amid hustle and buzzle of Ranchi lies the Kanke Dam, offering an escape that any water body would. A peaceful walk around the dam, watching the sunset, just some quietude is what you get for coming here. if lucky you could get to see the occasional bird catching a fish; please do visit for a recharge and dam your thoughts and other concerns away. Ka ke dam was a spot where the family would go for a picnic twenty years back. The Siberian cranes would descend in the lake and it was a magnificent sight. Though the government has made a walking track for morning walkers, the approach road to the dam is pathetic . If you haven’t been there, you have missed nothing
