Realme 10 Pro+ review: Competitors, our verdict, pros and cons

The competition The Realme 10 Pro+ is the most interesting specimen of the new series as it is the only one to offer notable upgrades over its predecessor. We like the design, the excellent display, the battery life, the good speakers, and the adequate performance for this class. The camera photo and video quality turned out pretty good, too. The Realme 10 Pro+ launches at €380 for its base 8GB/128GB model, while the most beefed up 12GB/256GB one will set you back €430. Considering all the global hurdles and uncertainties right now, the pricing is adequate and competitive. The first competitor that comes to mind is the €350 Samsung Galaxy A53. The Realme 10 Pro+ trumps the Galaxy A53 with faster charging, better battery life, a real proximity sensor, and HDR10+ certification for the screen. But the A53 is a fully waterproofed smartphone with better cameras and, arguably, a more comfortable, no-nonsense design. The One UI and the Samsung ecosystem can't be overlooked as well. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G offers a similar AMOLED screen, IP53-rated glass design, and similar performance. The camera specs and quality are also a match. This Redmi impresses with an incredibly fast 120W fast charging, comes with fan-favorite features like an audio jack, FM radio, IR port, too. If you prefer MIUI and Xiaomi's ecosystem, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G should be an excellent choice around the €350 mark. Its battery life is not as impressive as the Realme's, though. The Poco F4 costs a...

Among the three phones, the Realme 10 Pro+ is the one that brings enough novelties to be called a proper sequel to the successful Realme 9 series. And that's the phone we have for a review today - meet the Realme 10 Pro+. With component shortages and issues with logistics, phone manufacturers find it hard to launch new midrange phones which are substantially better than their predecessors. Luckily, that's not the case with the Realme 10 Pro+, as it brings an updated design, a better display, a more powerful chipset, an improved camera, and even a slightly faster charging speed over the Realme 9 Pro+. Let's start with the design. The Realme 10 Pro+ is the first Realme number series phone with curved front and rear panels, making it look noticeably thinner. And it's not your widespread minor 2.5D curved edge, it's a proper 61-degree curve, similar to the Galaxy Edge phones from the past. Then there is the larger AMOLED screen, now 6.7-inch, with an even faster 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch response, 10-bit color support, and a higher maximum brightness of 800nits. That is a welcome improvement over the 6.4-inch 90Hz AMOLED on the Realme 9 Pro+, th...

These are the best offers from our affiliate partners. We may get a commission from qualifying sales. 256GB 12GB RAM Introduction Realme's series 11 has been official for a month, but until now, those phones were available exclusively in China. Well, that's over now, as the Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro+ will be hitting the shelves in India and Europe soon. And we kick off the Realme series 11 exploration with the most beefed-up specimen - the Realme 11 Pro+. We are glad to see Realme returning into the mid-range segment, as their last official global smartphones were from Realme Series 9. While Series 10 were technically global, the Pro models were never made available outside India. Let's circle back to Realme 11 Pro+ and its most notable change - the design. The 11 Pro+ is a departure from the typical glossy phones we've seen for years. The maker has partnered with the former Gucci designer Matteo Menotto, and the Lychee Leather Design is the fruit of this collaboration. The Realme 11 Pro+ is a thin and curved smartphone with a premium vegan leather back panel with stitches and a cool zipper-like split in the middle. The camera housing has been completely revamped, too, and now looks like something you'd expect to see on a Huawei phone. The new design screams luxury, but it doesn't look over the top, and we do like the changes, at least on paper. The Realme 11 Pro+ green and gold models are available with this design, but Realme has kept the black one out of this fash...
