PTU zonal youth festival concludes, RIET

Students during gidha at PTU’s Zonal Youth Festival at Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology in Ludhiana on Sunday. (Source: Photo by Gurmeet Singh) The three-day PTU Zonal Youth Festival at Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GNIMT), Gujarkhan Campus, concluded on Sunday. The third day started with colourful giddha on the main stage. Dr M S Kang, former vice-chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University, was the chief guest. Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), Phagwara, was adjudged the winner of overall trophy on Sunday. The host GNIMT won the runners-up trophy. Teams from various colleges from four districts — In giddha event on Sunday, GNIMT stood first. In group song (shabad/bhajan), GNIMT, Ludhiana, stood first. In Indian group song, Ramgarhia Institute of Engg. & Tech, Phagwara, stood first. In essay writing, GNIMT, Ludhiana, stood first while in short story, Rayat & Bahra College of Engg & Tech stood first. First prize in rangoli was bagged by A S Group of Institutions, Khanna, and in clay modelling, Ramgarhia Institute of Engg & Tech was adjudged first.
