Pant had made a visit to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi for one of DC's home games and in May, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that he interacted with the under-16 players present at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Pant started his rehabilitation at the NCA this April. The wicket-keeper batter had met with a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. By India Today Web Desk: India's star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was hospitalised after surviving a major car accident while he was returning from Delhi to Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar told India Today that Pant was driving his Mercedes car that caught fire after hitting the divider at the Narsan border. Pant claimed he lost control of the car after falling asleep while driving, according to the Director General of Police in Uttarakhand. Pant was alone in the car when it collided with a divider on the road and caught fire. He suffered injuries to his head, back and leg. The 25-year-old, who was going to his home in Roorkee, was taken to a local hospital. He suffered injuries to his head, back and feet but is in stable condition.
