KOLKATA: Cyclone Biparjoy has kept the monsoon and pre-monsoon showers in parts of south Bengal, including Kolkata, on hold. With weather systems that bring in monsoon showers concentrated on the Arabian Sea at present, Met officials in Kolkata said the city has to wait for the monsoon till at least Thursday when Biparjoy is forecast to make landfall between Mandvi in Gujarat and Karachi in Pakistan.
