RML is nationally recognized for its expertise in such specialties as: • • • • • • Upon admission, each patient is assigned an attending physician, who may be a pulmonologist, physiatrist, or other board-certified physician depending on each individual’s medical needs. This physician will lead the full RML team, providing oversight of all medical treatments. In addition, many patients admitted to RML require the specialized care of our Infectious Diseases (ID) team, which consists of board-certified Infectious Disease physicians and physician assistants (PAs). In every service or program, patients are seen daily by their attending physician. To address urgent medical issues, RML has a physician on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Rehabilitation services – physical, occupational and speech therapy – are also integral to patient care at RML, and these services are available Monday through Saturday. Your physician will determine your therapy schedule. Supporting every service line in the hospital is the team of experts from the Patient and Family Relations Department, including psychologists, chaplains and patient ambassadors – all available to assist patients with their emotional and spiritual needs throughout their stay.
