Adoor: Three people were killed as two cars collided head on the MC Road near Enath, around 10 km from Adoor in Pathanamthitta district on Wednesday morning. The deceased are Attingal natives Rajasekhara Bhattathri (66), his wife Shobana (63) and their son Nikhil Raj (32). By India Today News Desk: A female doctor, who was treating a patient at a hospital in Thalassery in Kerala, was allegedly attacked by him. The patient identified as Mahesh, from Koduvally in Kozhikode district, was admitted to the hospital after sustaining injuries in a road accident. The patient, who was in an inebriated state, was brought to the hospital by his wife in the early hours of Monday. The female doctor, Dr Amrita Rakhi, called the police at 2.30 am on Monday after Mahesh reportedly attacked her. "The patient had sustained injuries in a road accident and he was brought to the dressing room for treatment. While I was nursing the injury to his head, the patient told me that he was feeling pain around his chest. I pressed on his chest to know the real cause, but he reacted in a violent manner and started hitting me with his hand. Despite warning him of grave consequences, he continued to hurl abuse at me," the doctor said, as quoted by Matrubhumi. The patient was given further treatment only after the police arrived at the hospital. This is not the first incident in Kerala where the patient attacked the doctor while receiving treatment. Dr Vandana Das was stabbed to death by a patient at Kottarakkara taluk hospital in Kollam on May 10. The young doctor succumbed to the injuries and the police personnel who accompanied the man sustained injuries. Onmanorama reported that three others travelling with him - mimicry artists Binu Adimalu, Ullas and Mahesh - were injured. The accident reportedly took place at Kaipamangalam in Kerala on Monday around 4.30 am. They all apparently attended a program in Vatakara and the accident occurred when they were returning.
