AP Sankranthi School Holidays 2023 Changed

Andhra Pradesh Education Department on Saturday released the revised schedule of Sankranthi holidays for the schools in the state. The department has taken a decision to renotify the Sankranthi Holidays from January 12 to 18 after receiving many representations from the teachers and its organizations to the education minister Botsa Satyanarayana. AP Sankranti Holidays 2023 from 12th Jan to 18th Jan 2023 Rc.No:ESE02/992/2022-SCERT Dated:07/01/2023 Sub: School Education – SCERT, AP – Sankranti Holidays from 12th to 18th January, 2023 instead of 11th to 16th January 2023 – orders issued. Ref: 1.Academic Calendar 2022-23. 2.Various representations received by the Hon’ble Minister for School Education. Order: All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, the District Educational Officers, and the Principals of DIETS in the State are aware that Sankranti holidays have been notified from 11th January to 16th January 2023 (6days) in the Academic Calendar 2022-23. Certain representations have been received by the Hon'ble Minister for School Education requesting to extend Sankranti holidays up to 18th January 2023. In the circumstances, it is decided to re-notify the holidays from 12th to 18th, January 2023 (7days) duly ensuring one day as compensatory warorking day on any holiday. Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, the District Educational Officers and the Principals of DIETS in the State are requested to disseminate the same to all the field functionaries.

List of Government Holidays 2023 in Telangana!

Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar issued an order on the list of holidays. State government offices will be closed on all Sundays and second Saturdays, he said. A maximum of 5 optional holidays are allowed out of 24 optional holidays regardless of religion or festival. Also Read: Any changes in the holidays of Ramzan, Bakrid, Muharram, Milad-un-Nabi will be announced later. General leave and discretionary leave are applicable only to Government employees. General holidays are not applicable to employees of industries, state government bodies, public works departments and educational institutions. The CS said that the relevant government departments will issue special orders regarding the holidays to be implemented by these organizations during festivals and celebrations. Common holidays fall on 4 Sundays and 2 on second Saturdays. With this, the number of general holidays actually available to government employees will be reduced to 22. Meanwhile, the Telangana state government has confirmed 23 holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
