वर्तमान शैक्षणिक वास्तव प्रचंड अस्वस्थ करणारे आहे. स्वतःच्या शिक्षणासाठी जेवढा ताण पालकांनी कधी घेतला नव्हता तेवढा ताण आज मुलांच्या शिक्षणासाठी घेत आहेत. स्पर्धेच्या युगात आपला पाल्य मागे राहू नये म्हणून अविश्रांतपणे मुलांना पळवत त्यामागे आपणही पळत आहेत. पालकांच्या दृष्टीने पाल्य आज रेसचा घोडाच बनला आहे. शिक्षणाच्या बाजारात नर्सरी पासूनच नीट व आयआयटी फाउंडेशन वर्गाच्या जाहिराती केल्या जाऊ लागल्या आणि पालकही त्याला बळी पडू लागले. मुक्तपणे खेळण्या बागडण्याच्या कोवळ्या वयात अभ्यासाच्या अवास्तव ओझ्याने मुलांचे बालपण चिरडले जात असून, त्याचा दूरगामी परिणाम भावी आयुष्यावर होत आहे. या पार्श्वभूमीवर संत तुकारामांचे शिक्षणशास्त्र समाजासमोर येणे गरजेचे वाटते. संत तुकारामांनी केवळ शिक्षणासंदर्भात स्वतंत्र विचार मांडला नसला तरी पारमार्थिक उपदेशासंदर्भात ओघाने जे चिंतन केले ते एका अर्थाने त्यांचे शिक्षणशास्त्रच होते. संत तुकारामांचे शिक्षणशास्त्र चिरनुतन असल्यामुळे काळाच्या उदरातून वेळोवेळी उद्भवलेल्या शैक्षणिक समस्येची उत्तरे त्यात निश्चितच सापडतात. वर्तमान शिक्षण व्यवस्थेत एकाच साच्याचा गणपती बनवण्याचा जो अट्टहास चालू झाला त्यातून आजची जीवघेणी स्पर्धा आली. ही स्पर्धा प्रगतीबरोबरच माणसाला अस्वस्थता आणि अशांतीकडे घेऊन जाताना दिसते. मुलाची कुवत, कल आणि गुणवत्ता न पाहता शेजाऱ्याकडे पाहून आपल्या मुलांची शाळा आणि अभ्यासक्रम निवडून त्याला पळायला भाग पाडले जात आहे. यातून काही मोजकी मुलं यशस्वी झाल्याचे चित्र दिसत असले, तरी या दुष्टचक्रात उद्धवस्थ होणाऱ्यांचे प्रमाण मात्र अगणित आहे. ‘अधिकार तैसा करावा उपदेश। साहे ओझें त्यास तें चि द्यावे। मुंगीवरी भार गजाचें पाळण। घालितां ते कोण कार्यसिद्धी।।’...

Saint Tukaram Maharaj (Tukoba) was a Saint from the 17th century, belonging to the Varkari sect. He was born on Vasant panchami (Magh shuddha panchami- 5th day of the bright fortnight of the Hindu lunar calendar) in the village of Dehu in Maharashtra to Bolhoba and Kanakai. Before attaining Sainthood His name was Tukaram Bolhoba Ambile (More). He departed for Vaikunth when still embodied on Phalgun vadya dwitiya (2nd day of dark fortnight of Hindu lunar calendar). Vitthal or Vithoba of Pandharpur was Saint Tukaram’s Deity of worship. He showed people the easy path to God-realisation through abhangs (devotional songs). His Guru Babaji Chaitanya initiated Him with a bijamantra and it is with His grace that Tukaram Maharaj received spiritual knowledge. During this era He became an important Saint imparting teachings to the people on the nation and Dharma through the medium of kirtan (praise of God through poetry and stories). When preaching Tukaram Maharaj tells man that both worldly life and Spirituality are extremely essential for a living, that without a worldly life God-realisation does not occur and that worldly life is imperfect without Spirituality. Only 50 people would be allowed inside Sant Tukaram Maharaj Devsthan in Dehu to witness the Tukaram Beej ceremony this year, the Pimpri Chinchwad Police said on Sunday. A curfew has been imposed in the temple town near Pune from Sunday morning till midnight of March 30 amid rising Covid-19 cases. Under normal circumstances, lakhs of devotees, most of them from the Warkari sect, vist the temple every year to mark the Beej ceremony. Devotees believe that Saint-Poet Tukaram left for his heavenly abode on this day during his last keertan (sermon). Last year too, the ceremony was observed with restrictions due to the lockdown. संत तुकाराम महाराजांनी तेव्हाच्या अनिष्ट रूढी आणि परंपरा यांच्या विरोधात आपल्या धारदार वाणीने रान उठवलं होतं. त्यावेळच्या समाजाला जागृत करण्याचं आणि त्यांना अन्यायाशी लढण्याचं बळ तुकोबारायांनी दिलं. अगदी छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजही संत तुकोबाराय यांना आदर्श मानत. फाल्गुन वद्य द्वितीयेला तुकारामांचे सदेह वैकुंठ-गमन झाले, असे मानले जाते. संत तुकारामांनी १६५० साली फाल्गुन कृष्ण पक्षाच्या दुस-या दिवशी मध्यान्हाला आपला देह सोडला असं सांगितलं जातं. संत तुकाराम महाराजांनी समाजातील अंधश्रद्धांवर परखड भाष्य करतानाच विठोबाची मात्र मनोभावे पूजा केला. आपलं सर्वस्व त्यांनी विठ्ठलाच्या चरणी दान केलं. त्यांची अगाध भक्ती पाहून शेवटी विठ्ठलालाही तुकोबारायांना दर्शन देणं क्रमप्राप्त झालं. मात्र फक्त दर्शनाने माझी तृष्णा भागणार नाही तर तुझ्या चरणी कायम स्थान मिळो अशी विनंती तुकाराम महाराजांनी विठ्ठलाच्या चरणी केली होती. त्या विनंतीला मान देऊन श्रीविष्णूंनी आपलं वाहन असणाऱ्या गरुडाला देहू इथे पाठवलं आणि शेकडो लोकांच्या उपस्थितीत कीर्जतन करतानाच तुकोबाराय अमुचा रामराम घ्यावा असं म्हणत ,देह वैकुंठाला निघुन गेले.

Sant Tukaram Beej Tukaram Beej is the day when it is believed that Sant Tukaram bodily ascended to Vaikunth, the heavenly abode of Lord Vishnu. In 2016, the date of Sant Tukaram Beej is march 25. It is seen on the second day of the krishna paksha (winding down period of moon) in the falgun or phalugna month (february – march) according to customary marathi date-book. On the day, devotees gather at Tukaba Mandir and at scared places at afternoon and perform different puja and rituals as a sign of appreciation to grate Sant. The jackfruit has a thorny rind, but it is sweet within. The sugarcane is hard and black without but it is well flavored and sweet within. Our food owes its flavor to salt. The value of a thing depends on its inner qualities; what do its faults outside matter? Know him to be a true man who takes to his bosom those who are in distress. Know that God resides in the heart of such a one. His heart is saturated with gentleness through and through. He receives as his only those who are forsaken. He bestows on his man servants and maidservants the same affection he shows to his children. Tukaram says: What need is there to describe him further? He is the very incarnation of divinity. Saintliness is not to be purchased in shops nor is it to be had for wandering nor in cupboards nor in deserts nor in forests. It is not obtainable for a heap of riches.
