What is Sanvedana? Sanvedana Foundation, Kolhapur is a registered trust (NGO), working towards spreading traffic awareness in order to improve road safety and reduce traffic accidents and fatalities. What activities does Sanvedana undertake? Sanvedana foundation tries to spread traffic awareness through various public engagements and a one-act play, titled “Traffic Traffic”. The foundation tries to reach the youth by spreading the message that they can relate to. The target audience is school and college students. In addition to this, the foundation has also been involved in adding reflective tapes to road dividers in Kolhapur, in order to make the dividers visible to motorists. The foundation has covered about 52 kilometers of roads in Kolhapur city. Where does Sanvedana foundation receive its funding? Sanvedana Foundation started as a self-funded effort by its founding members. As the movement got a foothold and was acclaimed by the media, countless people have donated to Sanvedana’s cause.
