Young Indian all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar, who is the son of legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar, scored his maiden first-class century on his Ranji Trophy debut for Goa against Rajasthan on Wednesday (December 14). The 23-year-old faced a total of 207 balls and scored 120 runs with the help of 16 fours and two sixes. By scoring a century on his debut, the young left-handed batter matched his father’s feat, who also scored a century on his Ranji Trophy debut back in 1988 against Gujarat. Sachin, who is 49 now, made his Ranji Trophy debut as a 15-year-old at the Wankhede Stadium on December 10, 1988, and scored 100 not out on the second day after coming out to bat at number four.
