jodha

Mariam-uz-Zamani ( lit. ' Mary /Compassionate of the Age'); [6] ( c. 1542 – 19 May 1623), commonly known by the misnomer ' Jodha Bai ', [7] was the chief consort and principal Rajput wife [a] as well as the favourite wife of the third Mughal emperor, Akbar.

Set in the sixteenth century, this epic romance begins as a marriage of alliance between two cultures and religions, for political gain, with the Hindu King Bharmal of Amer giving his daughter's hand to a Muslim Emperor, Akbar.
