April 14, 2022 Why in news? Recently, Mirat-ul-Akhbar completed 200 years. First published on 12 April 1822, Mirat-ul-Akhbar was India’s first Persian Journal started by Raja Ram Mohan Roy. It was published on a weekly basis on Fridays. In 1823, it was stopped from publication under the Licensing Regulations for Press.
