All monocytes expressed Ly6C, CD14, CD115, and CX3CR1. C1 monocytes harbored higher levels of Ly6C and CD115. C2 monocytes displayed lower levels of Ly6C and CD115 and higher levels of activation markers such as major histocompatibility complex II (MHCII), CD86, and programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1); consequently, we refer to C2 as mono ACT.
