Gauri Kund is an important Hindu pilgrimage site on the way to Kedarnath Dham, which is another 14 kilometers uphill from there. It is situated at an altitude of more than 6000 feet in the Garhwal Himalayas. Gaurikund also has a temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati Devi, the Gauri Devi Temple.

The new route is about 18 to 20km. Jungle, Slope, Slant, Bridges, Fog, Rain, River, Waterfall and Snow, Not in particular order, but it's Beautiful. It took 5 hours to reach us Kedarnath and after 1 km walk we have reached temple at 1.00pm. After 2 hr wait in queue we had very good Darshan and Start Return Journey.
